About NewVillager

Founded by Ross Simonini and Ben Bromley, NewVillager is a group of musicians and artists currently living and working in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. In 2011, they released their debut, self-titled album on IAMSOUND records and toured internationally with Okkervil River, Titus Andronicus, Sunset Rubdown, Metronomy, and Best Coast. They have performed live and built installations in museums, galleries, and concert halls, including Jack Hanley Gallery in New York, Human Resources in Los Angeles, Fredericks and Freiser in Chelsea, Brooklyn Museum, and the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. All of their music, drawings, collages, videos and installations are made using the monomyth, a narrative pattern found in ancient and contemporary mythologies.

The video for Lighthouse was so fantastic that I prefer watching the video alongside listening to the music to just listening, so I was wondering if there was anywhere I could purchase a copy of the music video.

    Love the music and thanks.

  6. not sure if you’re the same guy, but if not, me and a group of friends ran into your doppleganger at the alligator lounge last december. talked a while about music, art, philo etc…but by the time we left that night the names were too foggy to recall. a few of us were from alabama visiting friends/family in nyc for xmas if that sounds at all familiar.

either way, just saw a video of you at sxsw and thought i recognized you. very cool work you guys are producing. hope to see you guys in the south some day soon!
